Why NOW?
The members of St. Paul United Methodist Church saw growing community needs in the areas of food security, education, and sustainability. They came together to launch an organization (NOW Connection) to focus on meeting these needs.
Launched September 2019, the NOW Connection's mission is to create and promote educational and cultural opportunities that enhance the lives and meets the needs of the community it serves.
What NOW?
Once formed, the NOW Connection secured a grant from Global Ministries Earthkeepers to pen a Community Farmer's Market on the Eastside of San Antonio. When the city was shutdown during COVID, NOW's Farmer's Market was put on hold. As an alternative, NOW worked with volunteers to help distribute free fresh produce and meat to members of its community.
With the support of Methodist Health Ministries (MHM) and St. Paul United Methodist Church, NOW is ready to GROW! We are excited to launch our hydroponic farm in Fall 2025.
